Hi, I'm Marcela.
I'm originally from Mexico City and hold a degree in Hospitality Business Administration. My career began in hotels and restaurants, but 12 years ago I discovered my true passion: destination weddings. I started as a resort wedding coordinator, where I planned and executed 10 to 15 weddings every month. That experience allowed me to work with couples from all over the world, different cultures, traditions, and religions, while coordinating celebrations of every size, from intimate gatherings to large-scale weddings. Working at a resort taught me how to thrive in a fast-paced environment, anticipate challenges, and remain calm under pressure. Weddings rarely go exactly as planned; weather, logistics, and unexpected situations are simply part of the journey. I learned that my greatest value isn't just creating beautiful events; it's giving couples the confidence that no matter what happens behind the scenes, they can be fully present and enjoy every moment.
Today, as an independent wedding planner, I've had the opportunity to expand far beyond the resort environment. Every venue comes with its own personality, rules, logistics, access requirements, and vendor teams. That variety has challenged me to become even more adaptable, resourceful, and proactive. My goal is always the same: to provide clear communication, quick solutions, and the peace of mind that every detail is being handled with professionalism and care.
What I love most is the relationship we build throughout the planning process. Months of conversations, design decisions, timelines, and countless details create a level of trust that makes your wedding day feel effortless. Seeing my couples enjoy every moment, from getting ready to walking down the aisle and celebrating with their loved ones, is the most rewarding part of what I do.

I have a technical degree in Food & Beverage and a Bachelor's degree in Tourism.
I have three years of experience working in Food & Beverage, which gave me a great understanding of how banquet services and event operations work. I also have five years of experience as a Wedding Coordinator, planning and managing destination weddings.
I started my career in the hospitality industry while I was in university. As part of my degree, I had to complete an internship at a hotel. At the end of my internship, I was offered a full-time position in the Food & Beverage department. After three years, I completed an internal internship within the hotel so I could transition into the Wedding Coordinator position. That's where I met Claudia Solis.
I was given the opportunity to make the move, and ever since then, I've absolutely loved working in weddings.
What I enjoy most is working with people and staying up to date with new wedding trends. Over the years, I've learned how important it is to plan an event for couples who are living in another country. Most of the time, they haven't had the chance to visit the venue or meet the vendors and team members who will be part of their wedding day. Because of that, I always do my best to guide them through every decision, helping them choose what's best for their vision while making sure they truly appreciate the value of the investments they're making. My goal is always to help bring their dream wedding to life.
I joined Claudia Solis Destination Weddings in February 2026 with the goal of continuing to grow, learn, and improve professionally. I love being able to dedicate quality time to every couple throughout the planning process. I even joke with my couples by saying, "It's our wedding day," because that's genuinely how it feels to me. I become emotionally invested in every wedding, and I truly feel like I'm part of their story.
My favorite part of the job is the wedding day itself. Seeing months of planning come together and watching every detail unfold exactly as envisioned is incredibly rewarding. It takes an amazing team to make it all happen, and nothing compares to the feeling at the end of the night when the couple thanks us for helping make one of their biggest dreams come true. I sincerely appreciate the trust our couples place in us throughout the entire journey, and it's an honor to be part of such an important moment in their lives.
